NECO Reschedules Exams

Information reaching us from a reliable source, says that the National Examination Council, NECO has re-scheduled some of the examinations in the ongoing NECO SSCE.
One of the subjects postponed is Mathematics which was earlier scheduled to hold yesterday, Monday 23rd June, 2014, will now hold on Monday 7th July,2014.
Other subjects that were rescheduled includes: Biology now to be written on 8th of July,2014 and Economics on 9th July.
Reasons for this is said to be linked to leakage of the exam questions.

Any Batch 2 candidate who is seen around the NDA premises before 20 July 2014 will be disqualified. Candidates will be accommodated and fed throughout the duration of their stay for the AFSB.
All candidates will firstly undergo a screening exercise which involves certificates/credentials screening, medical tests and physical fitness tests.
Only candidates who pass the screening exercise will qualify to continue with the interview.
Candidates MUST bring along the original and photocopies of the following documents:
1) JAMB UTME Result Slip
2) Acknowledgement Form and NDA Examination Admission Card.
3) Academic certificates / statements of result, and testimonials for primary and secondary schools (junior and senior).

5) Letter of Attestation of State/Local Government Indigeneship duly signed by the Secretary to the State Government or Chairman of Local Government, as the case may be. Certification obtained from a military officer from the candidate’s state of origin, who must be of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, may be used in place of Local Government Indigeneship Certificate. In this case, the officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address. The officer must also affix formation/unit stamp and sign.
6) Letter of Consent from parent/guardian.
7) Writing materials.
8) Three blue shorts and 3 white (round-neck) T-shirts.
9) A pair of white canvas shoes and 3 pairs of white socks.
10) Toiletries.
11) Non-refundable fee of two thousand, five hundred naira (N2,500) each for verification/confirmation of results at WAEC/NECO.
12) Scratch cards for WAEC and/or NECO results for online confirmation of result.
13) Four recent coloured passport photographs.
14) The second copy of Postcard Photograph that was presented and endorsed at the Exam Centre during the Entrance Examination.
15) Sufficient money for transport to and from Kaduna.

UNIMAID: Admission into Remedial Programme for 2014/2015 Academic Session

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Remedial Arts and Science programmes of the University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

(a) The basic admission requirement is 5 credit in SSCE, GCE or NECO in not more than two sittings. The credits must include English and Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to chosen Remedial Programme (Arts or Science).

(b) Candidates must seat for the 2015/2016 UTME examination and must obtain a minimum of 180 points.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Payment of three thousand Naira only (N3,000.00), for the purchase of the forms must be made through the University’s Account NO: 030401455 with the Unimaid Micro-Finance Bank, University of Maiduguri Bama Road Maiduguri or Account No: 0004966204 of the Diamond Bank Plc. The Bank teller is then presented to the Bursary Department for issuance of receipt, which would be used to collect the application forms from the Admissions Office. The application forms would be available as from 30th June,2014.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Admission Office by hand, registered post or by mail not later than 31st August, 2014. The following documents must accompany each application form.

FOUNTAIN University 2014/2015 Post Utme Screening.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates for the Screening Exercise for admission into the DEGREE and PRE-DEGREE Programmes for the 2014/2015 Academic Session commencing OCTOBER 2014.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

a.Candidates applying for admission into Pre-Degree Programme must possess minimum of four (4) O’level credit passes in subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics for Sciences and Management & Social Sciences. Candidates with deficiencies in their O’level results will be considered; but such candidates are however, required to make up for any deficiency before the 2015/2016 admission exercise.
b.Candidates applying for admission into any Undergraduate Programme must possess a minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO SSCE AND GCE which must include credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, and any other THREE subjects relevant to the proposed course of study OBTAINED WITHIN THE LAST FIVE YEARS.
c.Direct Entry Candidates are expected to possess a good Diploma in their choice of Course (With minimum of Lower Credit) from reputable Polytechnics or Universities OR equivalent A’ Level Passes (including IJMB) in relevant Subjects. DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ALSO PURCHASE THE DIRECT ENTRY FORM OF THE JOINT ADMISSIONS & MATRICULATION BOARDS.
Candidates awaiting results can also apply provided there is the assurance that such results will be available before Matriculation in December, 2014.
FEES AND OTHER INFORMATION
The current school fees is N341,500 for the Degree Programme. The fee is payable in two instalments of 60:40 ratio at the beginning of First Semester and Second Semester respectively. Lagos State University Resumes for 2013/2014 Academic session

This is to inform all Full-Time Undergraduate Students (Fresh and Returning)
of Lagos State University that school re-opens for normal academic activities Today, Monday, June 23, 2014.
Students are therefore expected to commence payment of school fees and also register,
as the portal has been opened since Friday, June 20, 2014.
Registration, which is expected to last for two (2) weeks has commenced and will end on the midnight of July 6, 2014
Tuition fees can be paid in full or in two installments of 70 percent (Harmattan Semester)
and the balance of 30 percent at the beginning of Rain Semester.
