Following the recommendation of a panel set up earlier in January 2013,by the state government to audit and verify credentials of the staff of Abia state polytechnic, it was discovered that several staff secured employment into the institution with forged certificates. a gossip reaching us said that these staff hold post they do not merit.
a panel set up by Mr. Chibuike Nwokoukwu reported that all academic staff of the institution were interviewed, their certificates checked for confirmation and authenticity. the panel further disclosed some names of staff to be removed from their current position to a lower one and also, others that were to be sacked.
Nwokoukwu urged teh government to implement the report in the interest of the school. on receiving the report, Gov. Theodore Orji gave full assurance that the report would be implemented. h4e also advised unqualified staff of the institution to avoid being disgraced and step down on their own.
