ASUU strike: UNIPORT students takes to the Streets on a protest

It is exactly 71 days that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU embarked on an industrial action. This have made the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS grown much impatience. The lingering ASUU strike have disrupted academic activities across 61 universities in Nigeria for the past two months. As a result of this, some students of the University of Port-Harcourt have gone to the streets, in a peaceful protest to bring ASUU and Federal government to hear their yell and come to terms so as to end the strike. As of the time of reporting this, the students have created a total road blockade at Choba Junction, a little distance off the University main campus. As usual, the police and the press are around to make sure the protest doesnt bring violence. This post will be updated soon with more stories, pictures and videos. Just check back.
